Virtuale

Virtuale is a digitized program that provides information on concerts performed by the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. The concept was inspired by my time as an usher at the University of Georgia where pdfs began to replace printed programs. The app opens with a slow introduction, emulating the excitement and suspense an audience feels waiting for a concert to begin. A limited yet classic color palette of cream, light yellow, and black reflect the traditional uniforms of musicians and look of sheet music. Yet, the use of clean sans serif type and simple vector designs express a more modern feel. Images and information were provided by the ASO website with the exception of vector graphics and the isolated violin photo, which were produced by me. All audio—the arpeggio introduction and pizzicato button clicks—was recorded by me on violin.
