My thesis, The 33° Angle of Approach, examines the concept of left-handed design as a metaphor for my methodology. Working from the 33° means seeing so-called accidents, glitches, and imperfections in design as opportunities for serendipity and discovery that thus drive my creative direction. Everything written in my words in this book is set in my “left-handed typeface” called Propitious Hand. Everything in the book is related to 33, including the grid which is revealed by two lines on the edge, trisecting each page. A black and white archive of my work is in the back.
