Indigenous Type

This in progress typeface was inspired by salish characters when handwritten with cursive writing. The natural looping of the letterforms is reflected in certain glyphs while all letters are characterized by soft, rounded corners. A consistant line weight and forms inspired by contemporary sans serif typefaces keeps the type modern as the traditional design of many characters were adapted to this style.
