Apalach Oysters uses the reductive method to build depth. I chose overlapping oyster imagery to take advantage of this approach. Snow Day is an environmental poster inspired by the experience of expecting a snow day only for it to rain. The character of the disappointed little boy is based on a similar character is the children’s book The Snowy Day. Third Movement is my take on graphic notation, visualizing a short violin solo I wrote. The use of a gradient is condusive to graphic notation as it never appears the same, changing the way the music is read between editions. Halloween ‘04 is a pop art style self portrait designed by digitally manipulating a photo of me dressed as Dorothy.
