Magazine Design

Each magazine opener responds visually to the content of the text. The first takes a musical approach. I hand drew the letters and digitally stretched them to appear like brass instruments being pulled and pushed as if a ‘loud ode’ is being played at the viewer. The second design evokes nervousness through manically scribbled lines in both the drawing and type. The third opener takes a quiet, poetic approach.
